Coach James Hird said he was confidentDavey would remain a Bomber in 2013.
“Alwyn is very much a required player,there will be a contract going to him very shortly,” Hird said.
“He was our second highest goal kicker forthe year and played a very important role for us so we definitely want him tostay.”
Hird also confirmed big man David Hille wasexpected to play on and a decision on the future of Ricky Dyson was still beingdecided.
“Ricky is a player we want to stay, we willwait and see what Ricky wants to do over the next week or two,” Hird told TradeRadio.
“He is an unrestricted free agent so he hasoptions as well.”
Forward Kyle Reimers is in a similarposition to Dyson with his future to be decided in the coming weeks.
“Kyle is an Essendon player who is out ofcontract at the moment,” Hird said.
“We will sit down with him in the next weekor two and work out what we want to do but at the moment he is a requiredplayer.”
