Big names included in Essendon squad

Essendon has named a strong 29-man squad for Friday night's Round 1 NAB 'Bushfire Appeal' clash with the Western Bulldogs at 8:40pm at the Dome.
Bomber stars Matthew Lloyd, Mark McVeigh, David Hille, Dustin Fletcher and Paddy Ryder have been joined in the squad by young guns Scott Gumbleton, Jay Neagle, Bachar Houli and Courtenay Dempsey.
Adding to the interest in Essendon's team is emerging cult recruit Christian 'Spider' Bock, Irishman Michael Quinn and mature age selection Hayden Skipworth - all of whom performed well in last week's intra-club match.
The final team of 26 player (including the two substitutes) will be named tomorrow.

Fans travelling to and from the match can travel on public transport for free.
Anyone holding a valid match ticket can travel on metropolitan trains, trams and buses, and V/Line trains and coaches, with their NAB Cup ticket.
To enjoy free travel, please have your footy tickets with you; print your tickets when booking your online as people who are collecting their tickets from the ground will need a valid public transport ticket.

The game will also be televised live nationally on Foxtel and Austar via Fox Sports 1, and into Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia on the Seven Network, starting at 8.30pm local.
Essendon Football Club will wear ‘Bushfire Appeal – 1800 811 700’ as its shorts logo in Friday night’s fund-raising game at the Dome. Essendon managing director, Peter Jackson, said the Club hoped this branding on the players’ shorts would encourage Australian’s to give freely to the cause.
