One could forgive Essendon coach Kevin Sheedy if he is a little pre-occupied walking to the coach's box this Saturday afternoon. The Bombers' Wizard Cup clash with the Western Bulldogs commences at 3.10pm and the $1 million Blue Diamond Stakes is run at 3.05pm. Usually a horse race would be the last thing on his mind - but in the 2002 version of the Blue Diamond he has the odds-on favorite Bel Esprit. If Sheedy isn't tuned into a radio then the Essendon fans will undoubtedly let him know the result as he makes his way to the box.Bel Esprit is renowned for its speed out of the gates and it is one area Sheedy would love to see the Bombers' improve on this weekend.
