Matthew Knights and Gary O’Donnell were yesterday joined on the hallowed Windy Hill turf by more than 80 of Essendon's most dedicated members. Stories about great Bomber moments flowed thick and fast as the group reflected on their favourite memories and posed for a commemorative photograph.
The group represented a large portion of the 133 current members that have been on the Bomber bandwagon for 50 or more consecutive years.
Between them, they represented almost 5,000 years of Essendon membership.
Knights and O’Donnell were photographed with the group, with the picture to appear in the 50th Edition of the Bomber Magazine which is to be released in March this year.
