The development of Essendon midfielder, Jobe Watson, continues and Bomber fans like what they see giving him a 7.26/10 rating for the 2008 season.

The 23-year-old played 19 games this year (as he did in 2007) but saw his rating increase from 6.73/10. He formed an effective partnership with ruckman David Hille and had the most clearances of any Essendon player.

Despite his solid year the fans want Watson to be careful not to handball too much.

What some of the fans had to say about Jobe:

Max Rodwell - Love this blokes commitment he like his dad before him has the club culture in his blood, and he sheds a little of this from time to time in his service to the club.

Nathan Beever - A very good year from Jobe. He needs to improve his kicking a lot but besides from that he's a great player.

Colin Duck - A fine contributor who just needs to work on the obvious .. his disposal.

Terri Xuereb - Needs to get more speed and accurate disposal. His over use of the handball let him down again.

Elias El-khoury - Played good, but not for the whole season. Had a good finish to the season.

Anthony Valenti - Jobe, when you play the game don't handball too much. Keep taking strong marks and if you're half-foward kick it straight to Lloyd so the Bombers can win. Go the Dons!!!

Tina Saccone - Very solid season by Jobe, important to the side. Needs to improve disposal at times however.

Belinda Purves - Jobe had a great year. 41 disposals against Collingwood was great!!!

Victoria Manson - Needs to work on his kicking, both confidence and accuracy. Getting 30+ possessions is great but he handballs too much. Really great partnership with Hille in the centre.

David Zemunik - Very important key player in the middle who had an ok year and should do better next year.
