What some of the Essendon fans had to say:

""Showed glimpses of brilliance. Anzac Day showed this guys talent. As with most big ruckmen, will take time to mature and gain consistency, but the future for Essendon’s ruck division looks secure with this guy around,"" Carl Farriciello.

""Good solid season from the big man. Has provided a good option in the ruck with David Hille and also has capabilities up forward. His athleticism is also very impressive for a big man. Still needs a little more time to develop but is still fast becoming an important player in the squad,"" Dale Clarke.

""Made a huge impression with his game on Anzac day, a real prospect for the future, He now has a heavier load as he and Hille will share rucking duties but he is also a handy forward. Big things expected in 2006,"" Luke Werner.

""Started with a bang. He was brilliant in his first senior game and never lived up to the standard he set. Maybe the opposition paid him more respect after that. I hope next year he becomes a regular key position player interchanging with Hille,"" Stephen Hansford.

""Jason shows lots of 'potential'. He's tall, mobile and can cause headaches up forward for opposition defences. I'd imagine in the next year or two Jason will come into his own and form a strong partnership with David Hille,"" Robert Lorenzetto
