Damian Cupido kicked the last two goals of the game to secure the Bombers victory yesterday against West Coast. The classy forward had kicked only three points up until three quarter time and was disappointed he hadn't contributed more to the scoreline. ""I have had a couple of frustrating weeks where I have been in and out of form. My job is to kick a couple of goals every week and I was really happy with how I finished off the game. I have to start making an impact and be a regular participant for four quarters - not just two and a half or one and a half or three and a half quarters - I have to play the whole game out. There is a lot of improvement left in myself and the whole side. We are going to give it a real crack from here on in,"" Cupido said on Bomber radio last night.

Q.Yesterday was a terrific win by the club against all odds?
A. It was one of the best wins I have been involved in. Knowing that we have had some high quality players out of the side. I don't know what it is with us but it must draw us closer. We just need to continue the way we played today and take it into every week. If we can do that we are going to be a top four side for sure. We can't wait until someone gets injured to pick ourselves up - we need to do it week in and week out.

Q. When you have the likes of Hird and Fletcher out and then we had another two late withdrawals - the opposition must just feel like they had you by the numbers, yet the team just found something again?
A. We thought West Coast would think a bit of pressure is off them with the players we had out. Robert Forster-Knight played in the VFL side and then did a fantastic job from the minute he came onto the ground. It was a 110% effort by everyone.

Q. West Coast kicked seven goals to your three in the second term - was the team concerned heading into half-time?
A. We knew we could only get better. In the second quarter in the centre bounces we weren't sticking to our game plan for a couple of minutes and they got a bit of a roll-on and kicked a few goals. We went into half-time a few points down but we didn't drop our heads. We came into the rooms and all stuck together and there was a lot of constructive talk. We are going to go up to Sydney next weekend and try and pull a win off on the road and really set our season up.

Q. How are you going at Essendon from being one of the fringe players at Brisbane to being a player that a lot of people are expecting big things from. How are you handling the step up?
A. If there is any pressure I am not really feeling it that much. My teammates have been fantastic for me - they are the ones giving me the full support and the coaches. You have to block out all that other stuff and I am the one on the ground trying to kick some goals. Essendon has been a great club and I have always wanted to be here and hopefully I am here for the remainder of my career.
