Kevin Sheedy has called on all the club’s faithful to get along to The Dome on Saturday night and make the West Coast Eagles feel the heat. ""This really is the week that the team needs the fans to get on side and make it a ‘house of pain’ or a ‘house of horrors’ for the opposition. Lets get 50,000 there waving their jackets and giving it back to them. This is the week to do it!"" said Sheedy.

Despite Essendon’s unusually slow start to the season, Sheedy was up beat and appealed to all Bomber fans that hope was no lost. ""I think our fans have to make sure they rally behind the team,"" he said. ""We naturally want to win a game, so do the other teams that have lost one and won one. Other teams that have lost two, they all want to get in there (top 8) as well,"" said Sheedy.

Sheedy is well aware of the prowess of the Eagles midfield, but said his side was up to the task.

""Every midfield is a great challenge. We did not get the ball in as much as we would have liked, but I think that last week’s match would have done us the world of good because we had a lot of players who were underdone,"" he said.

The Bombers’ injury woes continue with Sheedy ruling defender Sean Wellman and youngster Jobe Watson out of selection. However, there was some good news to come from training with Andrew Welsh certain to return to the side. ""We have got an opportunity now to pick 22 fit, fresh players coming into this game. I think that game last week will be better for some of the boys heading into this game,"" he said.
