Peverill’s crumbing the ball from Lloyd's missed mark and kicking a goal is what we have wanted to see all year. Will there be more of it? Helen Scully

We would always like to see more of it. The instruction to our players is obviously to get to the fall of the ball as often as they can in our forward line, particularly when Matthew Lloyd has more than one opponent to deal with. A couple of ""cheap"" goals such as the one you mention can make a difference at the end of the day. Hopefully the inclusion of Dean Rioli and Damian Cupido will make us a bit more potent in that area.

Essendon’s poor foot skills / poor decision making resulted in turn overs last week that cost goals. How can that be addressed in the lead up to the finals? Trevor Leach

It can be addressed in a number of ways. Firstly through selection – if players’ skills and decision making isn’t up to standard then they won’t play. And it is also addressed on the training track through individual development and the incorporation of decision-making skills into the team drills.

Damian Cupido is in my best 22, but we have rarely seen him this year after surgery last year. Have his problems been entirely medical? Peter McDonald.

His injuries have been the predominant problem by far. He has also had to cope with the fact that the expectations on him have increased after his excellent first year when he kicked 40-odd goals. That puts a bit more heat on a player and you really need to be fully fit to cope with that.

Are you going to pick up Adam Houlihan from Richmond to play at Bomberland next year? You should because we need some silky skills in our team. Joel Gibbons

We wouldn’t discount picking up any player just at the moment. We will have a look at where we felt we were lacking when this season is over and see who might be available to help address that problem. Having said that, the emphasis is generally on youth and probably more so after we picked up a couple of more seasoned players at the start of this season.
