Shane Wakelin is due to play his 239th senior game this week, meaning he and now-retired brother Darryl (261 games for St Kilda and Port Adelaide) are due to become the ninth set of brothers in the history of the game to reach 500 games as a family. They follow the Danihers (752 games comprising 313 for Terry, 82 for Neale, 233 for Anthony and 124 for Chris), Maddens (710 games comprising 378 for Simon and 332 for Justin), Morwoods (611 games comprising 170 for Paul, 229 for Tony and 212 for Shane), Nankervis' (578 games comprising 325 for Ian and 253 for Bruce), Coventrys (533 games comprising 227 for Syd senior and 306 for Gordon), Richardsons (518 games comprising 277 for Wayne and 241 for Max), Abletts (515 games comprising 229 for Geoff, 38 for Kevin and 248 for Gary senior) and Shaws (502 games comprising 146 for Ray, 313 for Tony and 43 for Neville).

250 games -- Scott Burns, Collingwood. Scott is due to become the 11th player in the history of the club reach 250 games, joining Tony Shaw (313 games), Gordon Coventry (306 games), Wayne Richardson (277 games), Len Thompson (268 games), Jock McHale (261 games), Nathan Buckley (260 games), Gavin Brown (254 games), Harry Collier (253 games), Lou Richards (250 games) and Peter Daicos (250 games).

100 consecutive games -- Brendon Lade, Port Adelaide. Brendon is due to play his 100th consecutive game this weekend, having began his current sequence in Round Four 2004. He will become only the seventh active player with a current streak of 100 games or more, joining Adam Goodes (197 games for Sydney since Round 22, 1999), Matthew Pavlich (150 games for Fremantle since Round 15, 2001), Brett Kirk (136 games for Sydney since Round 15, 2002), Kane Cornes (111 games for Port Adelaide since Round 17, 2003), Nick Dal Santo (108 games for St Kilda since Round 15, 2003) and Ryan O'Keefe (105 games for Sydney since 2003 Preliminary Final).
