Mark Mercuri will front the VFL Tribunal this Wednesday after being cited on video evidence. He was reported for allegedly striking Brent Moloney in the second quarter of the Bendigo Bombers v Geelong match at Skilled Stadium last Saturday. Mercuri hasn't appeared at the Tribunal since 1996. Moloney will also front the Tribunal for allegedly striking Cory McGrath in the third quarter of the Round 12 match.
It is easy to forget that Damian Cupido has only played 25 career games of AFL football. He is one of the least experienced players in the Essendon line-up - yet the expectations have been enormous since arriving at Windy Hill. While his consistency hasn't been what he would have liked thus far, he certainly hasn’t disappointed Bomber fans. Cupido has kicked 25 goals for the season in 12 outings and has created plenty of excitement.
