Essendon has named their AFLW side to take on rivals Carlton for a massive final home-and-away game on Saturday night at IKON Park.

With ruck Steph Wales ruled out for the remainder of 2024 from an ACL injury, the Dons have recalled ultility Matilda Dyke for her first appearance since round three.

Dyke's versatility could assist in the Bombers' ruck stocks, with Sophie Alexander also a chance to shoulder some of the centre bounce responsibilities in Wales' absence. 

A win on Saturday will guarantee the Dons a second consecutive finals appearance, with a competitive Blues outfit marking their final test of the regular season.
