Essendon has named an unchanged line-up for its big clash with Melbourne at the MCG tomorrow.

However that could could change between now and the start of the game with utility Justin Blumfield still no certainty to play.

Blumfield suffered a corked hip in last Monday night's clash with Brisbane and is rated only a 50-50 chance of playing despite being named.

The coaching panel and selectors wanted to give Blumfield as long as possible before deciding whether he plays or not.

Danny Jacobs, who dominated in the reserves match last weekend is the logical replacement should Blumfield be ruled out.

Jacobs, along with other emergencies Dean Wallis and Mark Fraser however have been named to play for Essendon in its VFL match against Williamstown this afternoon.
