MOORCROFT GOES UNDER THE KNIFE
Livewire utility Gary Moorcroft will miss two weeks of football after having minor surgery on his left elbow today. Moorcroft had floating bone removed from the joint. ""It has been a problem for him for a while and we thought it was better to get it sorted out now rather than later,"" Essendon football manager Matthew Drain said. ""It has been more of a discomfort for him than anything else. It is only a minor setback. He won't be missing for long."" Moorcroft played in a back pocket for Essendon against Sydney last weekend and was one of the best players in the first half.
