It was a hard season to judge Adam Ramanauskas on according to fans, restricted to just three games before rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament during a training drill. Requiring a knee reconstruction, he missed the remainder of the year. A favourite among the fans, they are looking forward having a fit Adam Ramanauskas back on the track in 2006.

What some of the Essendon fans had to say:

""Always shows signs of dedication and wears the jumper with pride. Suffered a season ending injury early on but will hopefully be back fully fit next season."" (Dean Horton)

""Does one man deserve so many setbacks? Looking ready to launch into what was possibly a career defining season, the knee injury robbed not only Adam, but Essendon fans."" (Brad Sparkes)

""It’s pretty hard to rate his season after his injuries but all in all he's a great all rounder player. Plays best on the wing, rebounding the ball in defence and bringing the ball inside 50 when attacking."" (Andrew Fisher)

""The team really missed having Rama around this year. He had been outstanding in the last game of 2004 and we were looking forward to seeing wonders in 2005. Despite his serious injury, Adam remained a solid Clubman and was always around. ""(Vincent Berraud)

""Looked set for a good year after the setbacks of the past 2 years. Hopefully his determination can assist him in overcoming his knee op and showing the grit and ability we all know he is capable of."" (Paul David)

""Obviously very disappointing with the knee injury but hopefully he can pick up where he left off and have another successful comeback to AFL footy next year and we see him at his very best real soon."" (Dale Clarke)

Hope he can get back to his best, unlucky the last couple of years. Has a great leap for his size, quick and great user of the football. Looking forward to seeing him out there in 2006. (Paul Sketchley)
