It's sink or swim time for Essendon Football Club. A loss to Brisbane at The Dome this Saturday night will put the Bombers under enormous pressure, basically leaving them with the unenviable task of having to win every game for the remainder of the home and away season to make the finals. Saturday night will answer two questions. Will Essendon be there in September? Do they deserve to be there? It’s crunch time.
The axe has been swung at the selection table with Damian Cupido, Paul Barnard, Rob Forster-Knight and Cory McGrath all paying the penalty and being omitted from the team that went down to Adelaide last weekend. Joel Reynolds is also missing with a groin injury. The Bombers have been bolstered by the return of Jason Johnson, Joe Misiti and Dean Rioli. Aaron Henneman and Steven Alessio have also been included.
