Essendon Football Club is pleased to confirm Nathan Lovett-Murray has re-signed with the club for the 2013 season.

The 30-year-old will line up for his tenth season in the red and black after putting pen to paper on a new one-year deal.

General manager of Footballl Operations Danny Corcoran said he was delighted Lovett-Murray is playing on.

“Nathan has been a great servant of the Essendon Football Club and we are very pleased that he will remain at our club next season,” Corcoran said.

“His versatility and ability to play in a wide range of positions makes him a valuable member of the team, providing us with greater flexibility around the ground.”

“He is a strong bodied midfielder who provides an important presence around the ground and is always willing to do whatever it takes to assist the team on the field.”

Lovett-Murray has played 142 games for the Club since making his debut in 2004 after being taken at selection 27 in the 2004 Rookie Draft.

In recent years, he has become a popular choice as the Bombers’ sub due to his ability to play numerous positions on the ground.

Lovett-Murray is an important leader in the Indigenous community and is the founder of music label Payback Records, featuring hip-hop group Yung Warriors.
