Damien Peverill battled hard this season and has been applauded by Essendon fans for his courage and work ethic.

Peverill’s scorecard rating has jumped from 5.85 in 2006 to 6.43 this year however, to secure a permanent position in the Bombers best 22 next season, fans believe Peverill needs to work on his disposal by hand and foot.

Pev tries his heart out and is a much required player. He is often given a crucial tagging role that goes unnoticed because of his skill and ability. (Barry Douce)

Peverill is a terrific ball magnet for Essendon, however there is a huge gap between his best and worst performances. If Peverill can get back to the consistency which saw him elevated from the rookie list, Peverill will be an integral part of the Bombers’ midfield. (Mark Grant)
