LLOYD WALTZES INTO MARRIED LIFE
Matthew Lloyd lining up for goal is concentration personified. Socks up, boots checked, jumper tucked in and grass thrown in the air - it is a set routine that every Essendon supporter knows off by heart. But on his recent wedding day, there was one set routine that tested his powers of concentration even more than a shot for goal from outside 50m - the bridal waltz.

Essendon utility Mark McVeigh was one of Lloyd's groomsmen along with Matthew's brothers Simon and best man Brad. McVeigh said he had never seen more concentration etched on the face of Lloyd than when he took to the dance floor for his bridal waltz.""You could just see how hard he was concentrating on getting it right,"" McVeigh said. ""He wouldn't look at anyone else and you could see him counting one, two, three, one, two three. He is very focussed when he kicks for goal but it was nothing like this.""
""It was a great day. Lloydy was very nervous before we departed for the Chapel at Xavier College but he got through it well. Both he and Lisa spoke very well at the reception.""

They said his reading of the play and his raking left foot will make Essendon a dangerous side on the rebound in 2003. Read Scott Lucas' Fan's Report Card.
