The flight plan, launched last week, has set a fundraising target of $5 million of the overall project cost of $30 million from Essendon members and supporters.
But Evans said the fundraising initiative had made a slow start and has called on the red and black army to stand up and become a donor.
“The membership and supporter reaction has been a little slower than what we thought it would be,” Evans said.
“I urge everyone in the Essendon family to support this project in any way you can and at the same time play your part in this critical development for the future.”
All the latest information on the fundraising and how to donate towards the new facility is on the flight plan website
Donations are tax deductible and every project donor will be recognised at the new facility under the club’s in flight rewards program.
“Every donation counts - no matter how big or small your contribution,” Evans said.
“We have a long way to go, and now is the time to help make a difference.”
