Essendon will open round seven in a Thursday night blockbuster against traditional rival Hawthorn at Marvel Stadium.

The clash will mark back-to-back home games at Marvel Stadium, after the AFL yesterday revealed the round six fixture which will see the Bombers face the Bulldogs.

Both matches will be broadcast live on Channel Seven.
