Two Essendon-led teams will be in contention for a finals berth in the annual Bachar Houli Cup this week.

The Bachar Houli Cup is an Islamic Schools Competition, developed by the AFL’s Multicultural Program and former Essendon player Bachar Houli.

After a strong showing during last week’s final round, Darul Ulum College will be in contention for the premiership when the side takes to the ground on Wednesday at JJ Holland Park in Kensington. Ilim College will battle it out for fourth place.

The program provides Islamic based schools and students an opportunity to participate in an AFL 9’s competition.
