Essendon midfielder Heath Hocking will miss Saturday night’s clash against Richmond after accepting a one-match ban from the Match Review Panel for striking Carlton’s Chris Yarran.

The Charge was assessed as a level three striking offence and the penalty impacted by his previous bad record.

The incident was assessed as intentional conduct, low impact and high conduct.

Hocking has accepted a one-match sanction with an early plea and 85.63 points towards his future record.

Hocking will miss Essendon’s final home and away match of the season against Richmond at the MCG on Saturday night.
