Darwin locals took the opportunity to meet and mingle with some of their favourite Essendon stars on Thursday afternoon.
Fans turned up to a local clothing store to get the signature of star Bombers Patrick Ryder and Leroy Jetta.
The duo is visiting the club’s remote Indigenous partner communities, the Tiwi Islands and Wadeye, over the next three days of their visit to the Northern Territory.
Ryder said it was pleasing to be able to see the joy the visit brings to the local community.
“It is great when you make the trip up here to see how much it means for the club to visit these local communities,” Ryder.
“We understand it is important for us to continue to build and develop our relationship and links with the local community up here in the Northern Territory.”
The Bombers next stop is Wadeye where they will mix with locals, visit the schools in the community and meet with the Wadeye Magic Football team.
