Reigning Brownlow Medalist Jobe Watson was Essendon’s highest vote getter in the 2013 Brownlow Medal Count finishing in twelfth position with 17 votes.

The Bombers captain received three votes for best on ground on three separate occasions throughout the season.

Watson has now polled at least 15 votes in each of the last three seasons.

Youngster Dyson Heppell had a career best tally of votes in a Brownlow Medal count finishing with ten votes.

Brendon Goddard proved his worth in his first season as a Bomber finishing with nine votes and finishing third on the club tally of votes.

A much-improved season from Michael Hibberd was recognised by the umpires as he polled eight votes.
