In recognition of its contribution to Very Special Kids, Essendon Football Club was presented with a plaque this week for its contribution to supporting families caring for a child with life-threatening conditions.
In total, the club raised over $40,000 for the charity this year, which include Essendon’s presence at the VSK Treadmill Challenge in July as well as the fundraising efforts from the Windy Hill Venue.
The Windy Hill Venue raised $6,600 alone in an ongoing campaign to raise awareness for the charity.
In total, VSK’s ‘Piggy Bank Appeal’ raised over $1.37million this year alone which will assist in continuing the important work for children with life-threatening conditions and their families.
