Selected by their peers, the highly respected award recognises players qualities such as skill, versatility, adaptability, leadership and courage and is the AFL's foremost peer-determined award.
Key midfielder Heath Hocking has been recognised for his tough and fearless approach to football, with a nomination for the Robert Rose Most Courageous Player award.
Young gun Dyson Heppell has also been nominated for the Best First Year Player award.
As well as being nominated for the MVP award, Watson is also in the running for The Best Captain – an award recognising team captains for both their on and off-field leadership qualities.
The winners will be announced on Monday 12th September at a ceremony at the Crown Palladium.
