It will be a must-win game for Essendon on Saturday night when the side faces the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.

The Bulldogs are coming off the back of a recent loss to Adelaide, while the Bombers will be looking to rectify three straight losses during the club’s first contest against former Essendon player Stewart Crameri.

This match is classified as 'A-Reserved', so everyone attending must have a reserved seat. Members with home access will need to upgrade to a reserved seat through Ticketmaster by clicking here. General public tickets are also available through Ticketmaster from just $25.00. Enter the password 'fletcher31' to sit amongst Essendon supporters.

EJ Whitten Cup
On Saturday night, both clubs will play for the EJ Whitten Cup, named after Western Bulldogs great Ted Whitten who played 321 games for the Bulldogs between 1951 and 1970. The Cup has been played for at alternate home games between Essendon and Western Bulldogs since 1995 with Essendon home games in odd years and Bulldogs in even years. Essendon currently holds the Cup after winning it in the only meeting between the two teams in 2013. Ted Whitten Jnr will present the EJ Whitten Cup to the winning captain on the ground at the conclusion of the game.

James Hird Academy Game
James Hird Academy junior members will form a Guard of Honour for the senior team as they run out onto the arena on Saturday night. This year, in line with the club’s 'Don the Sash' membership campaign, The James Hird Academy will promote the 'Generations of the Sash' with academy members either wearing their father’s guernsey or an Essendon guernsey with their father’s number on the back.
