Essendon forward Joe Daniher has undergone successful surgery to repair a small fracture in his collarbone.
Daniher left hospital on Wednesday and is expected to make a full recovery from the surgery within three weeks.
Club doctor Bruce Reid said the operation went to plan for the 20-year-old key forward.
“It all went very well and he was out of hospital at about 10am on Wednesday morning so he will now begin to focus on his rehabilitation,” Reid said.
“Joe had screws and a plate put across the crack so that it can heal and we are hopeful he will only miss three weeks.”
Thanks for the nice messages and support from all those concerned. I am... pic.twitter.com/eTSNorwISI
