Bring your own Scarf

Essendon fans are being urged to get behind their team this Saturday afternoon at Etihad Stadium by bringing your own scarf to help create a sea of red and black. With the team looking to return to form after two losses in a row it is time to play your part by showing your support for the players as they take on West Coast.

Keeping with a tradition that began in 1993 with Kevin Sheedy waving his jacket after a classic win over the Eagles fans are urged to bring their scarf and wave it in a show of support for the team.

Thompson moves up the record list

Senior coach Mark Thompon is due to coach his 279th game this week, drawing him level with Jack Worrall in 22nd spot in VFL/AFL history for most games coached.
