Newly appointed Chief Executive Officer Xavier Campbell believes recent changes to the structure of the football department will move the club into a successful period on and off the field.
Campbell’s appointment was confirmed on Friday afternoon serving in the role on an interim basis for the last seven months.
In April this year the club announced the appointment of Rob Kerr (General Manager – Football Operations) and Neil Craig (General Manager – Football Performance) to head up a restructured football department.
Campbell said the appointment of the pair was set to be a cornerstone for success on and off the field.
“We have created a new football structure and I think it is a football structure that is going to take us forward to give us an opportunity to achieve success both on and off the field,” Campbell said.
“The mind set of the group and ensuring we continue to keep building is going to be important for us.”
“We have been able to develop some great structures over the last six months since I took over on an interim basis and have now filled all the key appointments on the executive.”
With all key executive roles now filled within the organisation Campbell said the plan for the future was firmly in place.
“It is important for the broader business to make sure that all the key roles have been filled,” he said.
“It is important for us as a club as we look to embark on a new strategic plan which is something that we are going to start seeing in the next couple of months.”
“We need to keep moving the club forward, we have had great support from our fan base and our commercial partners over the last few years.”
“That plan will be something that will take us forward for the next three years as we look to capitalise on what will hopefully be a strong period on field for us.”
