Essendon will take one live selection into Wednesday morning’s rookie draft after committing to Jake Long as a pre-selected rookie.
The club has one spot left on its rookie list after committing to take Long and Kurt Aylett as rookies.
List Manager Adrian Dodoro said the club was yet to decide whom it would select in Wednesday’s draft.
“There are some really good players left in the pool so we will have to sit down and make an assessment,” Dodoro said.
“Obviously we have got Jake, Ariel Steinberg is on the rookie list and we will re-rookie Kurt Aylett as well.
“We will have one pick and determine that in the next 24 hours.”
The club’s recruiting team has kept a close eye on towering ruckman Angus Milham and Western Australian Charles Lill who have been training with the club in the last two weeks.
Milham stands at 210cms and was recruited to the club’s VFL side from the Oakleigh Chargers last year.
Lill, played 19 games as a centre half-forward for Swans colts in 2013 before playing at centre half-back with Mt Lawley’s A grade amateur team in 2014.
