The National Draft and the welcome back party for the full playing group made this a special week in the Bombers Comeback Story.

For the first time in the Club's history, it held the first pick in the draft and landed dynamic Victorian Andrew McGrath.

He was born in Canada and excelled in athletics before football took over in his teens.

McGrath said he's thrilled to join the Bombers and even took a phone call from Dyson Heppell.

Jordan Ridley, Josh Begley, Kobe Mutch and Dylan Clarke also joined the Bombers.

Begley's story is a unique one.  Read more about it here.

Here is List and Recruiting Manager Adrian Dodoro's take on each of the draftees.

Coach John Worsfold also provided his response to how the draft unfolded.

All that's left is Monday's Rookie Draft.  Here is a look at some of the best prospects.

Ahead of the draft Worsfold gave an insight into when the captaincy will be announced and who some of the contenders might be.

A large crowd flocked to Tullamarine for the special Twilight Open Training session.

The media had a crack at a goal kicking contest, before facing the hard hitting questions from James Kelly.

Walla spoke about his connection with a Dons best and fairest winner.

All-Australian Cale Hooker spoke about his return to the Club, Tom Bellchambers looked ahead to 2017 and Michael Hurley revealed what he missed most.

There were plenty of strong performances in the first time trial of the pre-season and off the field the Club surged past 10,000 members.
