The rebel VFLW State Team to take on the SANFL in the 2025 AAMI State Game have been named.

The famous rivalry between the SANFL and VFL will reignite this weekend, with the women’s representative team to clash in South Australia as part of the AFL’s Gather Round.

The inaugural rebel VFLW State Team will represent the Big V on Friday, April 11 when they take on the SANFL Women’s State Team at Alberton Oval from 6:30pm local.

It will be the first time since the rebel VFLW was established in 2017 that a women’s representative team will take the field.

In a great result, Essendon VFLW players El Chaston and Abbey McDonald made the final team.
