After another difficult week, senior coach Mark Thompson has implored Essendon fans to get to the MCG on Sunday afternoon to ‘back our boys’ ahead of their clash against Melbourne.
The side will be looking for their third win in a row but will have to do it without inspirational captain Jobe Watson, who is recovering well from hip surgery earlier in the week.
