As dubbed by Anthony Hudson during the commentary on Sunday afternoon, Essendon’s ‘captain fantastic’ Jobe Watson has been nominated for the Round 4 Hungry Jack’s Goal of the Year for his snap goal, during the Bombers’ loss to Fremantle.
Watson kept his feet and continued to tactically soccer the ball into the Bomber's right hand forward pocket. Showing agility and balance, Watson picked up the ball only a few metres away from the boundary and snapped a right foot goal from an extremely tight angle in the final two minutes of the first quarter.
In the Hungary Jack’s Goal of the Year competition, viewers are asked to vote for their favourite goal from a short list of three players chosen by an expert panel each week.
Vote here to get Jobe Watson across the line as the Round 4 winner and also go into the running to win the competition’s weekly prize.
