Dyson Heppell was Essendon’s highest vote getter in the 2014 Brownlow Medal Count finishing in seventeenth position with 14 votes.
In just his fourth season it is the most votes Heppell has polled in his career passing his previous career best of ten votes in 2013.
Despite being ineligible to win the award Brendon Goddard proved his value in his second season at the club finishing on nine votes.
2012 Brownlow Medalist Jobe Watson finished with eight votes after missing the ten weeks of the season with a hip injury.
The umpires acknowledged David Zaharakis for his improvement throughout the season also polling eight votes.
In total fifteen Essendon players polled a total of 68 votes.
