This is your last chance to join us as we celebrate the legend that was Dick Reynolds with the launch of King Richard the book.
Dick Reynolds is regarded by many as Australian football’s greatest player. In a playing and coaching career that began in 1933 and ended in 1960, ‘King Richard’ won three Brownlow medals, was a seven time best and fairest, won four premierships as captain coach and played in a then-record 320 games.
In that time Dick Reynolds helped transform the once-struggling Essendon Football Club into a powerhouse of the League. Based on more than 190 interviews and exhaustive archival research, this is the story of King Richard, the ultimate gentleman of football and one of the game’s finest servants.
