Reserved Seat Holders
Around 5,000 members have requested changes and upgrades to their membership package and the club is currently working through these. Essendon wants to thank Reserved Seat Holders for their patience as creating a new seating plan is a lengthy process.
We expect to complete this process by the 17th March. The club will provide weekly progress updates from now onwards every Monday in the members news section.
MCG Away Reserved Seats
Around 2,000 members have requested an MCG Away Reserved Seat (the 2010 season is the first time Essendon has had 'away' reserved seats at the MCG).
The club is currently going through the seat allocation process which we expect to complete by the 17th March. See members news every Monday for an update.
AFL Club Support members
In what has been a first for the 2010 season, Essendon is fulfilling all member packs for all AFL Club Support members (previously this was done by the AFL).
Essendon only recently received those details from the AFL and will distribute members kits from next week. Any AFL Member who has requested a seating change update, please refer to the Reserved Seat Holders update above.
High Mark Members
After receiving feedback from our members over the past few years, the club has negotiated exclusive access to the Laureate Room for 2010. The Laureate Room will replace the Studio. The club has also negotiated reserved seating directly in front of the Laureate Room (Aisle 28), allowing easier access for High Mark members to enter this new exclusive bar.
The provision of this new reserved seating will not affect all High Mark members and the club will be in contact with you to discuss any seating changes.
To see where the Laureate Room is located at Etihad Stadium click here. The easiest way to access the Laureate Room is through gate six.
People who were High Mark members in 2009 and are yet to renew must do so immediately as Level 2 seating is almost at capacity and you risk missing out.
An exclusive High Mark members cocktail function will be held in Premiers Room (Windy Hill Venue) on Monday, 22nd February at 5.45pm. Only 250 places are available. Register by contacting 1300 GO BOMBERS or email membership@essendonfc.com.au. RSVP is 5pm, Thursday 18th February. To see the official invite click here.
Interstate Plus members, Life members, Baby Bombers and Pet members
There have been small changes in the 2010 members packs for the four categories mentioned above with the club running a trial with The Promotions Factory. The 100% Australian owned company will deliver the 2010 membership pack from their overseas warehouse as occurs at other AFL Clubs.
Members are expected to receive their packs in the mail over the next few weeks.
Advantage Payment
The club encourages anyone who has signed up on the Advantage Payment option (and has not received their packs) to check their statements and ensure all payments have been made and are up to date. Membership packs are only sent to members with no outstanding payments. If your credit card expiry dates have changed, please advise the club immediately on 1300 GO BOMBERS (1300 46 26 62) or email us at membership@essendonfc.com.au.
The Bombers' fastest player, Jarrod Atkinson, finished 2009 well, playing the last five games of the season including the elimination final against Adelaide. In his first year on the senior list, the former mature-aged rookie started to look comfortable at AFL and impressed the fans who enjoyed his run.
