A handful of past Essendon players will return for the 20th annual ‘EJ Whitten Legends Game’ this Tuesday night.
Now in its 20th year, the Legends game raises much needed funds and awareness for the EJ Whitten foundation. The foundation, formed in 1995 to commemorate the legacy of football legend Ted Whitte, aims to increase national awareness for men’s health, promoting early detection and prostate cancer awareness as well as raising funds for prostate cancer research through a variety of fundraising and campaign activities.
The game reunites retired champions to commemorate the legacy of the great Ted Whitten in a State of Origin showdown between Victoria and the All Stars.
Champion goal kicker Matthew Lloyd will captain the Victorian side in the 20th year of the game and will play alongside former teammates Gary Moorcroft, Damien Pevrill, Adam Mcphee and Mal Michael.

- The game consists of four quarters of 20 minutes each, with a nine point super goal used for goals kicked outside 40m
