This is what some of the fans had to say about Alwyn Davey’s 2008 season:

Nathaniel McPhee - You had a good two years but injury keeps coming back. You’re a super star but get the injuries and you might not be that good.

Joseph Attard - What a star! Despite a very short year, he gave us moments which we cannot wait to see again in 2009.

David Street - He was sadly missed. His aggressive running, tackling, never give up attitude and use of the ball is tops. Hopefully it will rub off on others and all being well he will play all the games in 2009 - if he does the Bombers will play in the finals.

Don Carter - Can't wait for him to return, such a live-wire.

Brendan Burnie - Exciting, skilful, quick and elusive with a bright future. Sounds a lot like our '09 season motto. Real shame about the knee though, we can only hope you make a complete recovery and don't lose any pace or confidence. Cannot rate you down even after only playing five games - love your work.

Christian Starick - He's very good but I give him a low rating because he was injured.

Jezza Chau - Season ruined by injury however still is an exciting player to watch and next season is gonna be much better for him!! Good luck davey!!

Rod Ansell - Started off the season in fine style and showed what we had missed in the later part of 2007 when he was injured. Unfortunately Alwyn once again suffered a season ending injury. He has become a vital member of the team with his speed, goal kicking and defensive tackling. Looking forward to an injury free 2009.

Greg Kemp – Didn’t play much due to injury, but showed glimpses of what he can do. Will be a champion if he can stay uninjured. Would love to the club recruit his brother as well.

John Hartman - Struck down with injuries again. Let’s hope next year he can remain injury free and he can show us what a great player he can be.

Mark Elze - As we all know his season was ruined by injury. Will be back to wreak havoc on opposition teams in 2009! A real dynamo and crowd favourite. His return will be a HUGE bonus next season!

Graham Flynn - Sooner he's back the better. Forward pressure, goal kicking and excitement.

Alan Betts - Was playing solid, consistent football until cruelly struck down with injury again.

Cameron Gliese - Please stay on the park Alwyn. Makes our team so much better when he's in.

Matt Milburn - Probably the player the Bombers missed most in 2008. His pressure in the forward 50 and creative goals were something the rest of the team couldn't replicate.

Caleb Slade - Great little dynamo that once again had a bad luck story half way through the year but looking forward to next year.

Max Rodwell - I know he didn't play a lot of games in 08 but the wheels fell off after we lost him, this young man has had a profound influence on our team since his arrival and I can't wait to have him back.

Nicholas Morrey - Terrible luck with injury this season. But he should still have that electrifying pace that made him so exciting in 2007.

Alan McCready - We were robbed of Alwyn again due to injury a real excitement machine. We need him as a match breaking midfielder and a pressure forward. 2009 the year of the ""FROGGY""!

Ross Penny - Started the season very well until hit by injury, like many of our team. Looking forward to a great season from Alwyn this season.

Julian McGuire - Injured knee ruined season. So important to the team with his pace: exciting when he has the ball, exciting when chasing the other team. Hopefully comes back as good as ever.

Nicholas McHattie - Two seasons cut short by injury. Has huge potential and is definitely the barometer of the team. Look forward to an exciting 2009.
