In the tough, ever-changing landscape of Australian Football, Dustin Fletcher is a legend. In 2015, the 40-year-old defender ran out for his 23rd season as the oldest man in the game and one of the best-loved by fans, commentators, coaches and players alike.

FLETCH tells Dustin Fletcher’s incredible true story in his own words: from his beginnings growing up as the son of Essendon legend Ken Fletcher to his prodigal son debut aged just 17 as part of the premiership-winning dream team “The Baby Bombers” led by iconic coach Kevin Sheedy and star teammate James Hird and the incredible run of victories that gave the Bombers the 2000 flag, a famous season in which Fletcher was named Essendon’s ‘Best & Fairest’.

Since then, Dustin Fletcher has broken the games record for the Bombers, moved to fourth on the Australian Rules honour roll (400 games) and also become the most watched player in the game with official records now recording the fact that over 20 million fans have seen him play.

FLETCH provides up-close insights into the ongoing ASADA saga and takes us behind the scenes of a famously private life with all its on-field action, off-field controversies and personal dramas.

About Dustin Fletcher:

Dustin Fletcher was born a long torp punt from Essendon's home ground of Windy Hill and has played for his beloved Bombers since 1992. In his 23 seasons, Dustin has won two flags (1993 and 2000), twice been named in the All-Australian team (2000 and 2007) and has represented Australia four times in International Rules, the second appearance as captain. Dustin and his father, Ken, hold the record for most games played by a father and son (657). Dustin became Essendon's games record-holder in 2014 when he played his 378th game and became just the third player in AFL history to play 400 games.
