Essendon Captain  Jobe Watson and VFL Coach Hayden Skipworth, have cast a close eye over the talent on display at the 2015 ‘USAFL Nationals’ in Austin, Texas.

The tournament features 44 teams playing off across four male and two female divisions.

Jobe was interviewed by the ground announcers during half time of the Division Three clash between the Portland Steelheads and Denver Bulldogs.

The skipper was torn while watching the contest.

Although Watson had a close friend playing for Portland, he also has a close connection with Denver’s team having crossed paths with them while completing high altitude training in Colorado over the last three years.

The game went down to the wire with the Steelheads holding on for a thrilling one-point victory.

The Red Sash is well represented at the tournament, with the Orange County Bombers undefeated in Pool B of Division One.

We wish the Bombers all the best for the finals series which starts today.
