With the end of the trade period fast approaching, this week is sure to be a very busy.

Here is how the newspapers are covering the latest trade news.

The Herald Sun:

Essendon and St Kilda recruiting managers gave little away over the weekend, as the two clubs continue to negotiate terms around a trade for Jake Carlisle. The Bombers rejected the Saints' offer on Friday which is believed to have involved Essendon receiving pick number 5 and parting with Carlisle and picks 23 and 25.

The Age:

The Age is reporting that Port Adelaide and Gold Coast may become involved in the Carlisle trade.

In Monday’s paper it is reported that the deal would see Port Adelaide trade pick 10 and a future first round pick to St.Kilda for pick five. The Saints would then trade pick 10 to Essendon for Carlisle and Port would trade pick five to the Suns for Charlie Dixon.

This was seen as a possible option due to all clubs struggling to make any progress.
