Strong ball movement out of defence, a fluent forward line structure and new faces all stood out during Friday morning’s training session at the True Value Solar Centre.

Just three days out from kicking off their NAB Challenge campaign against Gold Coast the players took to the track in a session headlined by a lengthy match simulation drill.

The Bombers ball movement out of defence through familiar faces in Michael Hibberd Mark Baguley was first class but it was the fresh faces off halfback that caught the spotlight.

Jason Ashby and Marty Gleeson both showed their flair and skill out of defence to set up the team's ball movement heading into attack.

Michael Hurley also looked at home in defence, matching up on young forward Joe Daniher in a strong contest.

Daniher and Jake Carlisle seemed to function well as a forward duo, ensuring they created plenty of space for each other to lead into.

Rookie listed ruckman Fraser Thurlow got plenty of his hands on the ball, regularly finding space around the ground.

Also impressive out of the club's newest recruits were Orazio Fantasia and Zach Merrett who both looked lively and won plenty of the ball.
