Essendon Football Club is aware of an alleged incident involving an Essendon member during Saturday night’s game.
CEO Xavier Campbell said the Club takes the alleged complaint seriously and is currently investigating the matter.
‘We are investigating the alleged incident and if required will take the appropriate course of action in accordance with our Members’ Code of Conduct,” Campbell said
“Essendon Football Club will not, and does not, tolerate anti-social behaviour of any type whether it’s at the football ground or in the community.
“I would strongly encourage all Essendon Members and supporters to familiarise themselves with the Members’ Code of Conduct which is available on the Club’s website.
“I would also encourage people who witness anti-social behaviour at games to report the matter to stadium security via the text lines.
“Our vision is to be the most inclusive, successful and respected sporting organisation in Australia, and we believe everyone has the right to feel safe and welcome at the football.”
