The trip west saw the Bombers go down by 79 points and hand Fremantle their first win of the season. The boys also totalled their lowest combined Fantasy score for the season with 1506. Fremantle had their highest score for the year with 1877.
Three Bombers cracked the Fantasy ton with inform midfielders Zach Merrett and Brendon Goddard continuing to perform at their best. Making his return following last week’s late withdrawal, Matthew Leuenberger was fantastic in the ruck with 27 hitouts, but he also worked tirelessly around the ground collecting 16 disposals, three marks and eight tackles. The big man experienced an $11K price rise and his breakeven is a low 49. He should make some more cash and hopefully push his 70.8 average up over the next few weeks.
Will Hams played his first game of the season and should remain in the side after his game that saw him rack up 14 disposals, three marks, five tackles and a goal. This helped him hit 75 Fantasy points for the game and add $18K to his starting price. With a breakeven of 1, get a slice of Hams in your forward line. He will not only make you some cash, but provide some very handy bench cover and points through the upcoming byes.
We don’t see a poor game from David Zaharakis very often, but on Saturday night his 25,000+ owners were scratching their heads after posting just 26 points. By far his lowest score of the year (much lower than the 104.7 points he was averaging going into the game). Don’t stress, it was an off night. Expect him to bounce back this week. Remember, if you started with Zaharakis, he only cost you $415K.
On the selection front, Woosha floated the idea that Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti could be rested this week. If Walla sits out the game against the Hawks, then look to trade him. Down to Hams would be a good way to make a few dollars, but if you can, look to upgrade. Try to grab some cash elsewhere and go to Merrett if you can! He could easily be the best forward for the season.
NEW DUAL POSITION PLAYERS
During the week, nine players added an extra position based on the role they had been playing in recent weeks to reflect the real game. Orazio Fantasia was originally named as a defender and due to spending a lot of time as our forward pocket, he has now added FWD status. That means you can switch him between the forward and backline with another dual position player. I’m hoping he can push up to the wing, or back to defence as his Fantasy points were a bit higher back there! I don’t want to chop Raz from my squad!
