Essendon Coach John Worsfold is keen for his team to run out in front of a big crowd on Saturday.
The Bombers host Carlton at the MCG at 2:10pm in the Club’s final match of the season.
There will be a series of initiatives throughout the day to celebrate the contribution of the Essendon members throughout the season including free entry for kids under 15, free movie passes and footy giveaways.
“It’s obviously a really traditional clash against Carlton,” Worsfold said.
“Two teams that are planning to climb the ladder and we’re certainly aiming to climb it quicker than Carlton, we hope.
“We want to get back up into that top eight as quickly as we can and win another premiership as quickly as we can.
“Our supporters have been awesome all year coming and watching our young guys.
“To come out and watch them take on Carlton at the MCG, it’s going to be a great Saturday afternoon, traditional timeslot – we’re really keen to get a big crowd there to cheer us on.”

The Essendon side that runs out against the Blues will feature two players (Matt Dea and James Kelly) signed since January.
But all ten of the latest recruits will be a part of a special post game ceremony that will see them lead the other players and coaches towards the cheer squad.
As well as allowing the players the chance to thanks the members, the gesture also provides the opportunity for the Essendon family to thank those ten players for what they’ve given the Club this season.
“They came here to make sure we weren’t caught short throughout the year in terms of the ability to field a competitive team and they’ve all been wonderful with that,” Worsfold said.
“It hasn’t worked out perfectly, it really challenged them physically, they had some serious injuries that they had to rehab through and obviously get through.
“Their on-field presence has really helped us not expose our younger players to a degree where they were going to physically and mentally fatigue late in the year.
“It has been a real team effort by what those guys brought in, how we’ve utilised them and hopefully by the two-way communication we’ve had with them.
“We can’t underestimate their on-field value even though they didn’t play every week, but also their off-field value has been immense.”
