Taking on the finals bound Cats last weekend was always a daunting task, but the Bombers took it right up to them with plenty of nice AFL Fantasy scores to write home about.
One of the best recruits of the season, Mitch Brown, scored his second Fantasy ton of his 33 game career. Brown scored 131 against his former club thanks to a mammoth 18 marks to go with his 25 disposals. The $26K price increase this round took his season value up $130K to $324,000. Although breakevens are mostly irrelevant at this time of the year, his final price could push toward $350K with some positive performances over the last three rounds.
Knocking his price up over $300K, Martin Gleeson gave his owners his first triple figure return of his career. Marty’s 115 came from 14 marks and 23 disposals out of the backline. A highlight of his game was the whopping 50 points he racked up in the first quarter.
Speaking of big first quarters, James Kelly managed to go a few better and have 56 points next to his name at the first break.
It is semi-finals weekend in AFL Fantasy and as coaches are needing to shuffle their team with their two trades per week. This might mean looking for some value.
David Zaharakis started the season on fire averaging 104.1 over the first 10 rounds. A few low scores in the last month of so has brought his price down to a ridiculous low. At $367,000, grab the ball magnet for the last three rounds for games against the Suns, Bulldogs and Blues.
A groin injury ended Brendon Goddard’s afternoon in the first quarter. He has been ruled out for this week and due to the nature of the do-or-die finals from here on in, you have to trade him out.
