Essendon Football Club is thrilled to announce Cale Hooker will return to the Club next season.
The reigning Crichton Medallist and All-Australian defender has signed a new five year deal that will see him remain a Bomber until the end of 2021.
CEO Xavier Campbell said Cale’s decision to stay is a major vote of confidence in the direction of the Club.
“I’m thrilled to announce Cale has signed on as a Bomber for the next five years,” Campbell said.
“Cale was a free agent and he turned down a number of enticing offers from opposition clubs because he believes in the direction of our football Club.
“Cale is an important part of the future of our football Club, he is a tremendous person and an exceptional football player.
“He can see we are building a strong team and I think Essendon members and supporters will be very happy to know they’ll be watching Cale in the red and black for another five years.”
